Job Searching in PDX

Hi All,
I am posting to you as I am in the midst of job hunting. I officially started looking 8-15-09. I have been going to many job groups and networking with many highly intelligent and experienced people. My question is: Why are all these people unemployed ? I am learning how to use linked-In and how to effectively get introduced to people.

This is the first blog of the conservative cafe. My point of view is one of limited Government
in my life and simplicity. I also cover the housing sector as I have been in mortgage banking since 1992.
